This is an old problem that I just can't seem to fix. It has not been a real issue because of the type of video I work with. I'm a nature photographer and have rarely needed on screen syncing of interview subject and audio. But now I starting a new project in which I will be interviewing several people and it would be great to be able to view my subjects in sync during editing.

Here is my system config:
MXO
software 2.1.7.0004
firmware 23

MAC
Snow Leopard 10.6.5
MacPro1,1
Processor 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
ATI Radeon X1900 XT

FINAL CUT PRO
7.0.3

The problem: I can get audio through my speakers by selecting either built-in line out or default but it is not synced. When I select MXO Audio there is no audio at all.

BTW -- I recently tried installing 2.1.8 of the software without any success. After installation all messages said my hardware as not recognized. I un-installed and went back to 2.1.7.

Any help you can give me with the audio problem would be great.

Robert

Hi Robert,

Can you try monitoring the audio out of the MXO's RCA outputs, this will be in sync with the video.

Regards

Peter

Peter,

That worked! Thanks for the early Christmas present Very Happy

BTW -- I was feeling daring and tried to install 2.1.8 again...it too seems to be working just fine as well.

Thanks again, and have a great holiday season!

Robert
