|
|
Latest/Last MX02 drivers. W7-64 PC Adobe CS6 Programs....
Premiere has MX02 settings accessible via Premiere CS6... Works fine...
Encore CS6 (Last Version) does not have MX02 settings accessible via Encore CS6, though Encore DOES PLAY Video through MX02...
My Question is regarding the settings for MX02 within Encore....
It seems to be limited to 16-235....
If I feed Video Created in Premiere CS6 at 0-255 levels.... and Export/Import them back into Premiere.... Video Remains at 0-255....
However, If I feed 0-255 video from Premiere via Export or Dynamic Link.... That 0-255 video that leaves Premiere arrives at Encore and outputs as 16-235....
Again, there is no Settings within Encore that accesses MX02 settings.....
I'm thinking I want to turn on "Pass Super Black", and "Pass Super White".... in MX02 settings for Encore.... but again there is no Settings within Encore to access MX02 Settings like there is in Premiere......
But MX02 is seeing Encore and outputs video....
Is there a file that I can "Play with" to try and hack "Pass Super Black" and "Pass Super White" in whatever file you load into Encore to allow it to pass video in Encore out the MX02???????
Thanks Much.... Jan Janowski |

May I get an answer on this? The Cow Forum that I posted at says Encore should burn 0-255.... but I'm not seeing that..... That's why I'm asking here, as you should know more about it......
Thanks |

It appears that the default render for DVD & BR in Encore is limited to 26/235 levels by default, which is a bit counter productive.
To burn with 01/254 levels, You'd have to export it from premiere/AME
In a format that saves at 01/254, and import same into Encore and avoid all Encore encodings, as they are limited to 16/235.
One more note (If you are not already confused):
Encore's view to display on PC, even with display card set for 01/254 ? will still show 16/235 levels, even Though MX02 (with Allow super white and black) will Show 01/254..... !!!!
So expect some confusion, though the eventual burn to DVD & BR will be 01/254.. by: exporting pre encoded formats at 01/254 levels so Encore doesn't use it's own encoder, an disregarding what you see in pc monitors, and only trust MX02 output with ?allow super black & super white? |

Will try again.
Encore's DVD & BR encode is limited to 16/235to burn with 01/254 levels, pre render to Mpeg2DVD or BR via export in PPRO or AME, and import into Encore this way, so Encore will see it as pre encoded, so it's limited to 16/235 encode won't re-encode/clip it.
Another issue and work around. Video display to monitors from Encore are also preClipped to 16/235, IGNORE MONITORS!
Set MX02 to ?Allow super black, super white?
If you see 01/254 levels on MX02 outputs, THEH, when you burn to DVD/BR, THEN your burn will have 01/254 levels!!
Hopefully this will post |
