|
|
I've been using the MXO2 LE happily for several years with CS6 and am looking to upgrade to the latest version. On checking, it appears that Matrox no longer support the latest version of Premiere.
Is this true and if so, I'll be looking for a better solution - more obsolete hardware just like the Axio... |

The latest Adobe version of Adobe supported using latest Mtx.utils 8.0 drivers is Adobe CC2015.2 release.
With the latest Adobe CC2015.3 release, we do not have official driver support, however, using the Mtx.utils 8.0 and the plugin procedure mentioned in the link below will be able to work successfully. http://forum.matrox.com/mxo/viewtopic.php?t=14597 _________________ Regards,

Hi Sam,
I tried on the new Premiere Pro CC2017, to apply the same steps that you gived to me for the CC2015.3.
My result is:
-Matrox effects: works ok
-I can create MPEG2 I-Frame, Uncompressed 8bit, Uncompressed 10bit sequence, so sequence setting are ok
- I can only capture in M2V format using MXO2 (AVI totally missed), so something wrong with the capture codecs.
- In Premiere Preferences>Playback>Video Devices, Matrox Video Player is not listed
- The same in Audio Devices
- I am able to export using MAX Option to accelerate the H.264 in Premiere Pro
- I am able to esport to Matrox AVI using the Mpeg2 I-Frame codec
- Matrox H.264 codec (both BD and MP4) are not listed in Adobe Media Encoder CC2017, but I got all matrox AVI avaiable
Please let us know if there is a work around to be able use still use MXO2 on CC2017.
Thanks
Mark Di Giovanni

I tryied to move some files around and at the end I think I solved all the missing function related to Premiere that I reported in my previous post. I will test everything tomorrow, since now is late in the night and if work as I expect I will post a guide to be able to use MXO2 with Premiere Pro CC 2017.
But I still got no Matrox H.264 listed inside Adobe Media Encoder CC2017.
I will keep trying tomorrow if you have some suggestions I will really appreciate Sam.
Best Regards
Mark |

Great work Mark! I also hope to hear from Sam or the other guys. We might squeeze some life out of our obsolete Matrox cards. |

We have not tested, nor support Adobe CC2017 release. Please use the same procedure as our forums but with Adobe CC2017 folders/path. This should work with Mtx.utils 8.0 drivers manual plugin procedure. http://forum.matrox.com/mxo/viewtopic.php?t=14597
As for missing MAX presets in AME, you should copy the same Premiere MAX presets (under MediaIO_systempresets) to the corresponding Media Encoder folder with the same name/ _________________ Regards,

If there are no major funationality changes with Adobe's new releases, the current MXO2 driver with manual procedure should be working. _________________ Regards,

Should I install MtxUtils before to copy the files, or just copy it? TKS

Yes, you will need to first install Mtx.utils 8.0 drivers and then copy the plugins over. _________________ Regards,

These are working in house with Adobe CC2015.3 and CC2017 using Mtx.utils 8.0 drivers + manual plugin procedure. _________________ Regards,
