I have a client who just now ordered a Dual XEON 6 cores based computer with all the "fine" ingredients.

Now - he wants the MXO2 mini and asked me if he needs the MAX option?!

My question - in such as fast computer - would the MAX do anything to speed up H264 exporting or maybe it is Redundant addon since the computer is so fast.

The editing software is going to be Premiere Pro CC .

Love to hear your opinion and experience on this question.

Probably yes. Get the Max encoding and never regret it.

It could well be that the Xeon processors will be happily chewing through the colour corrections that PPro applies to the frames of video before they are sent down the pipeline to the encoding stage with the MXO2.

All the best, and make sure the client has gone through the DIY check-lists at VideoGuys as not all motherboard / chip sets are up to snuff for serious video work.
