I work with both a pc and a mac:

Pc with Win 7 x64 with Nvidia Quadro FX1300 and with Adobe Production Premium CS4

Mac is Power Mac G5 dual-core 2.3GHz with Nvidia Geforce 6600 and with Final Cut Studio 2

i work in both with HDV but to Cineform on the pc and to Apple ProRes 422 on MAC.

Reading the Shane Ross review on CreativeCOW about the Matrox MXO solution as an inexpansive broadcast monitoring solution with an Apple Cinema Display i am now interested in this.

First i was doing some research about the Matrox MXO solution but reading about the Matrox MXO2 Mini compatibility with Windows i'm now here asking.

My question is if , with my setup , the Matrox MXO2 Mini over the Matrox MXO (adding that it's only MAC) is the right way to go , keeping in mind my main goal is a not too expansive solution for broadcast color correction quality and editing/effetcs work on both machine.

Thanks,

Davide.

Also i'm not sure Matrox MXO2 Mini is compatible with Mac Power Pc or it's only for Intle based.

Hi David and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. We are currently working on new Windows 7 drivers for the MXO2 Mini. These drivers will be available for download in the very near future. Please note however that if you want to install the MXO2 Mini on a MAC system, you would require an Intel-based Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, or Apple Xserve. As for Windows; please check this page.

Thanks,
B.C.
