How to get Matrox audio in OBS?

I know this form is for Telestream Wirecast but it's the closest thing I could find to OBS which is what I'm using and familiar with.

I have a Matrox MX02 Mini which has served me well for several years =)

I have HDMI coming in to my device and the video is working fine, shows up great in OBS.

However, I can't get audio to the stream.

When I test in Matrox AV tools I see the signal does exist:



But inside of OBS the Meter for Matrox audio isn't showing any signal =\

I am able to hear sound, but not see the signal in the VU meter, if I select "Use custom audio device" and from that list select "Matrox A/V Input"



I know there is signal in OBS somehow, because if I set the Audio Output Mode to "Output desktop audio (Directsound)" I can hear the Matrox AV audio coming through! But it still doesn't move the VU meter or come through in my stream. If I don't "Use custom audio device" then I can't even hear anything when trying "Output desktop audio (Directsound)".

When I look for Matrox in my Audio Output Capture it's not present. Same with Input Capture.



Any help/direction/ideas much appreciated

We do not officially support OBS with MXO2 product.

What does the Audio Capture Settings tab display for HDMI Input?

Have you tried using the USB Webcam emulator found under Start > All Programs > Matrox Mtx.utils > Matrox USB Webcam Emulator? See page 214-215 of the User Guide for 8.0 drivers.
