Hi, I'm running Win 7 ultimate SP1 with the latest drivers I've added Norton 360 and now, unless I hear differently, I'll install Adobe CS6.1.0 (or whatever the last ver was) I'm running MX02 Rack with MAX.

My question is: will this affect the editing? I'll have switched off the Norton when I'm editing. Has anyone done this?

Best Regards
Pat

The proper install procedure is as follows:

1. Win 7-64 SP1
2. Editing application (ex: premiere CS6 fully updated to 6.0.5)
3. MXO2 driver (4.1.0.0019).

Always install the MXO2 driver after installing your editing applications.

Regarding anti virus software, you should see a message appear when you launch Premiere warning that having anti-virus software loaded can cause dropped frames. If you encounter this problem, then you can disable the anti-virus active protection.

Thanks Joe. I'm between steps 1 & 2 right now. And I've kind of forgotten, how to install. The Matrox MXO2 and CS6.0.5 has been extremely stable. So you forget how to do it and just edit. (grin)

Jeff, I'll check out the windows product, I'm not that familiar with it. I'm assuming you can run it, protect everything and EDIT Too.

Best regards
Pat

Hi Pat,

Unlike competing paid-for products that are very resource heavy and bog down the machine and seem to "take over", MSE runs quietly in the background and I've never noticed any performance hit at all, and it's kept all of my computers protected, at home and at work.

Thanks

Jeff,

That's great to know. I've already downloaded it and will install this weekend.

Unless I hear different from anybody, I'll install it last. After I install CS6.0.5 then mixutils 7.5.2 and patterns.

Thanks again.
