Avid and MXO2 Mini - Field display and Snap ahead Issues

Recently we received many phone calls, and forum posts about Avid and in particular the following are the two most common questions:

- How come I cannot see both fields when I stop/pause Avid Media Composer with the Matrox MXO2 Mini?
- How come when I press stop, the output jumps ahead a frame or two?

The following explanations are provided below:

How come I cannot see both fields when I stop/pause Avid Media Composer with the Matrox MXO2 Mini?
Media Composer and NewsCutter have always displayed one field at stop/pause. This behavior is not new with the Matrox MXO2 Mini integration. Customers with Adrenaline, Mojo, Mojo DX and Nitris DX will have the same experience at stop/pause. It is valuable to see images on a field by field basis and this can be done by utilizing the Step Forward/Backward Field button. This is found in the Command Palette (Tools Menu>Command Palette) under the Move tab. These buttons are mappable to both the UI and keyboard. Some customers map these buttons to the Shift+Right/Left arrows to enhance the Right/Left arrow frame advance workflow.

How come when I press stop, the output jumps ahead a frame or two?
The snap ahead at stop is a known limitation of the Avid software.
