10.6.4 was released today. Matrox, please let the MXO community know when they can safely upgrade as soon as you can.

Notes for 10.6.4 can be found here: support.apple.com/kb/HT4150

Yes, please provide compatibility info for 10.6.4. I would like to take advantage of the Aperture 3 features added in 10.6.4.

Thanks,
Kevin

I really don't understand what is so funny about outlandcreative getting this frustrated about a $1,000 piece of equipment that will not not work.

I can now warn everyone that, having heard nothing from Matrox on the topic of this thread and noticing that the post on the 2.17 driver says it works with 10.6.2 and above, I installed the 10.6.4 update and the MXO is totally incompatible with it and will not function.

Has Matrox stopped supporting the MXO? This is a simple question that deserves a direct response. I suspect that you have, as the 2.17 "beta" was never made final and you have refused for a month now to respond to questions concerning 10.6.4 compatibility.

I patiently await your response.

Thank you,
Kevin

To update my last post, I was able to get the 2.17 MXO driver working under 10.6.4. Through a bit of troubleshooting, I was able to trace the incompatibility to a somewhat unusual hardware configuration I had with an MC Color and another piece of gear also connected through ethernet. Disconnecting the other piece of gear (a wifi bridge) solved the problem, and my MXO is now up and running on 10.6.4.

I am running the current MacPro with the ATI card and 12GBs of RAMk, for those of you also wondering about compatibility with 10.6.4 in the absence of any official word from Matrox on the subject.

I have nothing for odd devices or connections. This is what I have...
13" Macbook Pro
2.26 Core 2 Duo
2 gig Ram
Nvidia 9400M
10.6.4

External FW 800 Drive
20" Cinema Display

When I plug the MXO in my unit sees it as a "Convert DVI" in System profiler.....
What the bloody hell gives?
