Hi,

check if you database pionts to a Raid 0 (stripeset) or other multi disk array. You find this in Edit> preferences >media > database. Piont it to a singel disk.

Hi ArrMn,

Have you tried the suggestion from rblezer@home.nl? Did this help?

Hi,

Are you running the latest Windows updates, and system BIOS, chipset, audio and graphic card driver updates?

Did you make sure to unblock Mtx.utils exe file and turn off UAC before running the RT.X2 installer?

When importing the XDCAM EX files in Matrox sequence, are the files yellow or red barred?

There may be a slight delay (~1sec) when starting a playback to clips in Matrox sequence when compared to native Adobe sequence. Is this what you are seeing?
When playing out in a Matrox sequence, there is also overhead involved in actually outputting the video through the RT.X2. Native Premiere is only outputting on Program window, although you can compare in native Adobe XDCAM EX sequence by setting it up to output to a 2nd monitor connected to the system video card.

Please let us know your results.

Hi,

Is the NVIDIA GTX 470 running with CUDA GPU acceleration in Premiere?
Are you running the latest graphic card drivers?
Has this NVIDIA card been unlocked for use with Adobe CS5?

Are the XDCAM EX spanned or split files?
Are you importing the files individually using File > Import in Premiere, or using Premiere's Clip Browser?

As mentioned, there is a slight delay when starting a playback to clips in Matrox sequence when compared to native Adobe sequence. Is this what you are seeing?

I did try everything. I guess
It is how it supposed to work.
The scrubbing is just not convenient, start is OK.
Interesting, on same system (have double boot),
CS3 plays, scrubs same EX files just fine...would work on CS3, but
it hungs on importing on some files. CS5 opens them with no prob...
Im importing BPAV folder.

You will get the best results by using the Adobe Media Browser to import tapeless video clips. Should be found at lower left, a tab by "Effects". You can search there to the correct folder until it shows the actual video clips, then import them from there, rather than using "File > Import".

We did have a customer with XDCAM EX issues in CS4, and changing the import method resolved his issues.

Also, when copying files from media card to hard drive, copy the WHOLE WORKS straight over, do not change the file structures or anything. I don't recommend Sony Clip Browser utility either, just Copy/Paste card contents over to edit hard drive directly.
