DO NOT RECOGNIZE MY VCR
DO NOT CAPTURE FIREWIRE
DO NOT EXPORT TO TAPE VIA FIREWIRE
AND SVHS AND COMPOSITE DO NOT WORK VERY GOOD.
WHAT CAN I DO
I HAVE TO WORK WITH MINI DV AND MY VCR AG-DV2500, I HAVE NO CHOICE.

Hi,
If using CS5 with Matrox, then you no longer capture or output DV 1394 through a Matrox Sequence - create an Adobe DV NTSC sequence, capture the DV clips, then open a Matrox NTSC sequence for the actual editing. To export to DV, copy/paste the Matrox sequence into Adobe DV sequence.
How do S-video and Composite not work very good - poor video capture quality? Please explain
Thanks

Can you confirm your system specs? RT.X2 and Adobe CS5 versions?
What capture settings are being used in Premiere? PAL, NTSC? _________________ Regards,

hi,
Please reset you 1394 drivers to the " old " ones.
Right click "your computer icon on the desktop. > choose manage. Go to device control, then go to IEEE 1394 device.
Rightclick the hostcontroller > update driver > find files manualy.
Then find i want to choose.... coputer > find the 1394 OCHI compliant host controller (old version) >next
DV capturing should now work.
S-VHS and composite are not affected by this, however.
