Adobe CS5 drivers for Matrox RT.X2

Dear RT.X2 users,

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 represents an important milestone in the evolution of the NLE software. Adobe has harnessed two very powerful computational tools to provide a superior experience to their users; native 64-bit processing and GPU co-processing.

As always, it is our goal at Matrox to provide the best possible integration with the Adobe software. We have done it again with the MXO2 PC drivers for CS5 which are scheduled to ship shortly. We will follow this release with drivers for the Axio and RT.X2 platforms that will let you seamlessly add MXO2 PC systems into existing Axio and RT.X2 environments and ensure project compatibility.

To ensure that MXO2, Axio, and RT.X2 users get the most out of CS5, our top priority is stability. We have had to make the difficult choice to discontinue support for the Matrox GPU effects that you may be using today because of the direction Adobe is taking with their product. We believe that architecting our DirectX-based GPU effects to coexist with Adobe's OpenGL-based GPU processing would adversely affect stability.

The release of the Matrox Axio and RT.X2 drivers for Adobe CS5 are expected in October 2010. We intend to make open beta drivers available before the end of July.
