Dell Precision T7500 suitable for RT.X2/LE?

We're looking to build a system around a Dell Precision T7500, would it be suitable for an RT.X2 (possibly LE) system? We'll also be looking to add a CompressHD card at a later date.

Hello and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. Although the Dell Precision T7500 is not listed on our website but we do not foresee any issues installing the RT.X2 LE on this system. The Matrox RT.X2 editing system requires the following minimum system configuration:

- Microsoft Windows Vista Business or Ultimate (32- or 64-bit), or Microsoft Windows XP Professional (32-bit) with Service Pack 3
- Chassis with adequate cooling
- PCI Express (PCIe) slot available
- 2 GB of RAM (4 GB of RAM is recommended for Windows Vista 64-bit)
- Two processing cores - either two physical single-core processors, or one physical dual-core processor
- Display card that supports Microsoft DirectX 9 and has at least 512 MB of onboard memory (or at least 256 MB of onboard memory if you're using a release prior to Mx.tools 4.0)
- Separate NTFS formatted hard drive for A/V content

As for your compressHD question, please note that the 1.5 CompressHD driver release (scheduled for September) will not support the RT.X2 and CompressHD on the same computer system.

FYI

I have run RT.X2 on a T7500 system. I have 12Gb Ram. It works just fine. I have CS4.1
