Hey would it be possible to add the ability to easily with a key shortcut pull frame grabs BMP or JPG from the cs4 timeline. This was easy to do in cs3 but now to get a frame grab you have to go through the cumbersome media encoder.

I think this would make the rt.x2 even more great.

Thanks.

i would also agree on this. Adobe is stupid enough to make a simple task as difficult as possible. If Matrox can come up a solution for that, it surely makes matrox RTX2 more marketable. Some people I know rely on the frame grab to make store board. Now with CS4, the process becomes with tedious.

Also you can use print screen or use Vista Snipping tool instead Smile

print screen would be grabbing a low resolution from the preview window. I want a TIF or BMP with 1440x1080. I can do it in AME. but the steps are just tedious to grab one frame. the old way in CS3 is much more direct, quick and easy.

I am not suggesting it is Matrox's Problem I just was suggesting it as a feature enhancement. We edit and release many videos daily for web and need to grab specific screen caps fast and easy and cs3 was easy for that. My editors are still using cs3 for that very reason and only I am using cs4 at home with the Matrox. We use matrox cards at the studio and I was just suggesting a feature that would make Matrox the savior of the simple ability Adobe dropped in cs4.

I also agree with you. We stated that clearly it is adobe's issue to put a frequent use feature (frame export) bury in AME. It would be great for Matrox to step up to give us Matrox users this little feature to have a quick way to have a frame grab, that would be graet.
