How do I get Matrox 3DVE preset transitions to REVERSE!

I've seen this topic before. But never a straight answer. I use CS4 with RT.X2. Its bad enough doing the mickey mouse razor cut at the end of a clip to apply a transistion. But many of the preset transistions play out reversed! I see no reverse button. RT.X100 had one. The only workaround I see is flip-flopping the razor cut clips from each track! What am I missing? Thanks..
