| I am trying to capture footage via composit input, but getting an error "The currently selected video input is copy-protected material. Therefore, the video signal will be scrambled or blue". It's a Wedding DVD I created 4 years ago and need to recapture. Nothing is copy-protected there. Please help! |

Many DVD players apparently add a copy-protection flag to the video output, even for home-made DVD-R content.
What version of Premiere are you using? With CS5 or newer, you can just copy the .VOB files from the DVD to your hard drive, and then Import the .VOB files directly into Premiere for editing. Pretty cool.
