Windows 7 64 bit Pro
matrox RTX2
Premier Pro CS4
4.2.1 Matrox Drivers
6GB RAM
Since moving from Tape based footage in 720p 50P to SxS card based ExCam footage 720p 50p, my system keeps running out of memory. I used to speed thru an edit but now my system is so slow once you start trimming clips, ripple deleting etc. The Importerprocessserver process keeps using more and more memory until at about 82% total memory useage, premier crashes. I can only edit for about 15 mins at a time. Why does this process use so much memory now and how can I stop it? |

Hi,
Can you confirm what Premiere CS4 version you are running?
Are you running the latest Windows updates? System chipset, audio and graphic card drivers?
Are you running the full DVD Mx.tools 4.2.1 drivers?
Have you tried copying the XDCAM EX footage to your local storage drive?
Are these XDCAM clips spanned or split files?
