Hi,

What are the codecs you are trying to playback in Windows Media Player?
Are you running the latest Windows 7 updates?
What is your exact Premiere and Matrox driver version?
Do you have Quicktime installed on your system?
Have you tried playing back the files in Adobe Bridge?

The Matrox 5.0 drivers no longer support Matrox GPU effects such as Shine, Mask etc..
This is mentioned in our Release Notes on page 2:
http://matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/rtx2/doc/en_Matrox_RT.X2_Release_Notes_5_0.pdf
Quote:
The Matrox Flex GPU effects have been removed. This long-standing staple
of our NLE products could not be reliably integrated into the Adobe
Premiere Pro CS5 software architecture. Unfortunately, we were unable to
effectively "share" the GPU resources with the Adobe Mercury Playback
Engine to guarantee a reliable implementation, and therefore decided to
eliminate the Matrox Flex GPU effects.

Please let us know if you need more information.

Hi,

What type of AVI codec are you playing back? DV, MPEG2?
What version of Quicktime do you have installed?
Can you try uninstalling Quicktime and see if this helps?

There are currently some documented issues when using Windows 7 or Vista with our VFW codecs:
- On a Windows 7 or Vista system, Matrox uncompressed clips (8- or 10-bit)
may not play back in Windows Media Player. (Ref# 43314)
- On a Windows 7 or Vista system, the thumbnails preview of .mxf and .avi
files may not always work. (Ref# 46613)

Make sure that your playback mode specified matches the capability of the monitor. For example, if your project is 1080p24 and your monitor does not display progressive you must switch the Matrox playback specification to 1080i60.

This happened to me one time.

Hi,

Can you confirm your issue with detailed steps?
Are you playing back the Matrox DV file in Windows Media Player?
Are you seeing an output in WMP only? No external output?

Have you tried uninstalling Quicktime and see if this helps?
