GREAT NEWS! Kudos to all the engineers at Matrox who got it to work. Now RT.X2 owners can get the double benefit of realtime HDV editing and real-time H.264 encoding!
Matrox MAX technology was named a Videoguys Top 10 product of 2009!!
We've put together some great bundles that include CompressHD and Blu-ray burners

Hello, the CompressHD will be sold for $495 USD - not including local taxes. Matrox CompressHD with PC drivers will be available in the summer of 2009 through a worldwide network of authorized dealers (CompressHD with Mac drivers will be available in May 2009). We will soon post all the CompressHD dealers up on our website, under the
Where to Buy
section.
As for your other question, the current PC drivers that are scheduled for the Summer release will only be integrated with Adobe CS4 through Adobe Media Encoder, however The new
Matrox MXO2 Mini (for PC)
will include Matrox A/V Tools, an easy-to use application for fast capture and playback of your audio/video assets. This stand-alone application is ideal when all you need to do is quickly capture video for web streaming or DVD authoring. Matrox A/V Tools also lets you grab frames from your video and save them as TGA files.
Please check this page for more information on the Matrox
CompressHD
and
this page for the MXO2 Mini
.
Also, could you please post your future CompressHD questions on the
CompressHD forum
and MXO2 Mini on the
MXO2 Mini forum
.
Best regards,
B.C.

Post subject: Matrox Compress HD
Where can I obtain more information for this product Matrox Compress HD? How much is it? Where to buy?
Also, for PC, does it work only exclusively with Premiere Pro CS4? Does it have it's own applications to perform batch convert? I am hoping to avoid associate this software to CS4 so everytime I have to wait for Matrox for an upgrade if Adobe upgrade theirs. A stand alone app would be great.
