OK Matrox. Time for you to help me out here, because it appears I am stuck in the mud.
I created my video sequences in Adobe PP 1.5 a couple years ago. I exported those videos to another hard drive as well, to the - Export Drive - and used the MATROX conversion, which creates a M2V File, along with a wav file.
I have created DVDs with these and the video and audio look great for Standard Def. That is not the problem. I only have my M2V Files for some of my projects... not the .avi files anymore.
Now, I wanted to post some videos to Facebook, or Youtube... and Facebook does not accept M2V Files. Youtube was giving me a very hard time as well... I used to be able to post to Youtube, but not this time.
What is my problem? Can I convert down or across - those M2V FILES in good quality... to ANYTHING that will post nicely on Facebook, Youtube... and still also be a good storage file?
HELP! Thanks. I hope this board is still active!!! _________________ Brand= custom built

Hi Eric,
Have you found a solution to this problem?
I've got several old projects that only exist in M2V and WAV as well. |

Try the shareware "MPEG StreamClip". I don't know if you'll be able to work a conversion from the raw files since audio and video are two separate files, but if you drop the m2v and wav into your DVD authoring program, and either burn to DVD or simply create a VIDEO_TS folder, MPEG StreamClip will then be able to convert to various formats from there.
When you burn to DVD, make sure no transcoding is taking place so as not to cause any quality loss from recompression.
