I'm looking to put together a gaming computer using AMD Eyefinity to connect 6 1920x1080 projectors in a 3x2 manner for immersive surround gaming. Can the MXO2 Mini be used as a basic video input device, taking HDMI from an XBOX or PS3 and passing it on to the computer's Eyefinity display? I read about the Matrox DirectShow filter on the productivity apps page. Would running VLC media player in fullscreen mode using the Matrox Directshow filter be the way to go, or is there a more streamlined approach? |

Hello Jarp and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. We are HDCP Compliant so you can not capture or stream with HDMI on any game console. You can however use our component input as a passthrough. If that is all you need to output you should be fine. If not this would be a developer workflow ie SDK, http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/pc/developer/contact_form/
Sorry for the late reply.
regards,
