Hello,
I have just purchased a MXO2 Mini and connected it via PCIe card.
I have already tried several driver versions (1.9.2 , 2.2.1 , 2.2.2. , 2.2.3) but all I get is a black screen and Media Composer hangs for about 5 to 10 seconds when trying to start playback.
Media Composer recognizes the hardware and selects it as video device, and my screen changes its resolution, when it is changed in the program, so there is some kind of connection, but without a video signal.
My specs are:
OS 10.6.7
Media Composer 5.5.1
FW 12.1
SW 2.2.3
Are ther any knwon issues with this combination?
Thanks for your help. |

Hi diwafilm,
Can you tell us what kind of video you are trying to play out? (resolution, frame rate, codec...) Can you tell us how you are connected to your monitor? If you go to system preferences and click on the Matrox MXO2 icon, does everything show up properly? _________________ Regards,

It's a 1080p25 video with DNxHD120 codec. The monitor is connected through HDMI.
The preferences window open properly from the System Preferences as well as from the Video Output Tool menu within Media Composer. |

Hi diwafilm,
Can you please install version 2.5 of the Matrox MXO2 software, even though it states that is is for Lion only on the download page. It will install and work properly on Snow Leopard. Also, please be sure to power cycle (disconnect the power to the MXO2 for 5 seconds) after installing the newer software. _________________ Regards,

Hello,
I have installed the software version 2.5.0.0034 and firmware version 15.0.
Now playback starts instantly but there still is no video signal. When I open the settings menu there appears an error message for the fraction of a second, which says: Matrox MXO2 video hardware not found.
After that the normal settings menu appears.
These are my settings:

Are there any further settings I have to check, maybe within Media Composer? |

Hi diwafilm,
The images do not seem to show up. In System preferences, under the MXO2 menu, under video output, can you set main channel format to 1080?

What you are seing is normal, as long as the MXO2 does show up. _________________ Regards,
