Hi
Having a problem when I queue exports to Media Encoder. It takes ages for the AME box to actually open and show the export (s). Then when I press start queue it takes a while before the encoding starts.
I have just been trying to encode 2 shorts vids - about 4 minutes long. After finally encoding the1st vid, it stopped part way through 2nd one with a Nvidia time-out message.
I'm using Cs 5.5.2 with mtxutils_61, Nvidia geforce GTX580, windows 7 - 64bit.
There isn't a problem doing a straight export as I have already changed the SurcodeWrapper.vca file
Never had an issue with CS4 - any ideas?

Hi,
Please follow the exact steps in our Known Issues post which details renaming the Surcodewrapper file in two different locations: http://forum.matrox.com/mxo/viewtopic.php?t=5352
| Quote: | To all MXO2 users,
If you find that switching the export format in the Export Settings dialog box sometimes takes a long time, such as when you switch from Microsoft AVI to MPEG2-DVD, rename the SurCodeWrapper.vca file on your system (for example, rename the file to SurCodeWrapper.vca.bak). This file is usually installed by Adobe Premiere Pro in the following folders:
\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5\MediaIO\codecs\
\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS5\MediaIO\codecs\
For Adobe CS5.5 users:
\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5\MediaIO\codecs\
\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5\MediaIO\codecs\
Be aware that after renaming the SurCodeWrapper.vca file, you won't be able to export audio to SwCode Dolby Digital, but you will still be able to export audio to Dolby. (Ref# 55279 and Adobe Ref# 2603943) |
Please let us know if this helps.
If it does not, when installing the MXO2 drivers, please follow the steps below:
- uninstall the current MXO2 drivers
- download and right-click the Mtx.utils exe file and select Properties. Under the General tab, click unblock (at the bottom) if it is seen.
- Make sure the UAC option is turned off (set to Never Notify in Windows 7 settings) before running the MXO2 setup * may need to reboot
To disable UAC option or set it to Never Notify in Windows 7, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975787
- Run Mtx.utils setup and then make sure a full reboot and power cycle is performed (after install is complete, shutdown PC, disconnect MXO2 power for several seconds, reconnect power of MXO2 and then power up the PC)
- re-enable UAC option if needed
We await your results. _________________ Regards,
Sam

Hi Sam
That sorted it - thanks. I had only changed the file in the PP folder. I spent an hour on the phone today with Adobe and got nowhere. Cheers |
