Is it possible to use PC sound card analogue input when capturing from Y/C or SDI to Premiere Pro as Mojito MAX does not have RCA Audio input? If yes, how about audio and video synchronization between sound card and Mojito MAX as there is no Audio Capture Drift Detection test like it was in RT.X100?
If usage of PC sound card is not possible, same question about audio and video synchronization if using RCA unbalanced to XLR balanced converter between capture device and Mojito MAX? |

Hello, I mean exactly what I asked as Mojito MAX does not have RCA Audio (unbalanced) input. It have everything else (XLR Audio (balanced), AES/EBU (unbalanced), SDI embedded audio, HDMI embedded audio (8 channels)) but no RCA (unbalanced) input (most popular).
It has only RCA audio output!
I know I/O capabilities of other Matrox products but are interested about Mojito MAX and therefore asked possibilities to input audio from RCA (unbalanced) source. |

Hello and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. I would first like to apologize in regards to my confusion. I have always known the Matrox Mojito Max to be the PCIe card equivalent to the matrox MXO2 LE with MAX. The difference is the Mojito MAX does not have RCA inputs.
In regards to the outputs we have RCA outputs for monitoring with regular speakers. On the inputs we have XLR Balanced which you can use with RCA provided you get the proper adapter that has a Impedance Transformer. You can set the Ohms from 0 to 75.
When it comes to PC you can't use the sound card to capture, only preview on output. When capturing, our UI will only let you choose the options that are on the actual MXO2 board.
regards,
JD

I cannot find any Impedance Transformer with RCA, mostly they are with 1/4 plug and none of them are 0 to 75 Ohms. Converters that have RCA input and XLR output have 100k Ohms input and 100 Ohms ouput or 10kΩ input and 50Ω output. As I do not understand much from audio, can you name some Impedance Transformer model that should do the job with Mojito MAX? |
