|
|
I am working off the latest software. I just got a Dell U2410. When I start up my calibration tool it changes the image over the the scaled/not scaled image. When I click over to the next step, the brightness setting, the image does not switch over to the brightness image.
Any thoughts on if I can solve this problem?

Hi Ian.
What is your full OSX version?
Are you using Matrox 2.1.9.0004?
Is your Dell monitor connected via DVI-OUT from the MXO? _________________ Regards,

In the calibration utility it gets through all the steps/changes images UNTIL I get to the hue chroma section. It does not switch from the Image Scaled/Unscaled image over to the hue/chroma image.
Specs:
Mac 10.7.3
Matrox MXO ver. 2.2.0.0002
I've tried uninstalling, trashing preferences, reinstalling but to no avail. Tried simple restarts, and unplugging, still no success. |

This is unusual behavior that we've not seen on other systems. Therefore I would suggest removing/reinstalling the drivers as follows:
First, try to uninstall the Matrox drivers using the uninstaller application.
Then, manually remove files according to this procedure:
MXO Manual Uninstall Procedure:
Delete the MXOAudioDriver.kext file from your /System/Library/Extensions folder
Then in the Finder press Cmd-Shift-G (Go > Go to Folder) and type "/usr/libexec" (without the quotes)
Delete the MxoDeviceController.app
And again in the Finder's Go to Folder dialog type "/tmp"
Delete the MXOAgent.plist file
Delete the MXODaemon.plist file
Delete the MXOFPGAUpdater.app file
Shut down both MAC and MXO, then power up MXO followed by MAC
Very important: Do not reinstall using the already downloaded Matrox driver. Instead, download a fresh copy of the latest drivers and re-install.
Please let me know if this solves the calibration problem. _________________ Regards,

Hello Andreas,
Please provide the following details:
MAC OSX:
Matrox software version:
In the 'video output' section of the calibration utility, which format are you choosing?
When you say at the 'last step' of calibration, are you referring to the 'hue and chroma' section or the 'save settings' section? _________________ Regards,
Joe

I have not been able to reproduce this issue internally. Can you try 720p 59.94?
If that does not work, please follow this procedure:
1. Disconnect the MXO USB cable from the MAC
2. Run the MXO Uninstaller application located in: Applications -> Matrox MXO Utilities
3. Run the following MXO Manual Uninstall Procedure:
- In Finder, go to: /System/Library/Extensions
- Delete the MXOAudioDriver.kext file
- In Finder, press Shift+Cmd+G (Go -> Go to Folder) and type: /usr/libexec
- Delete the MxoDeviceController.app
- In the Finder folder dialog, type: /tmp
- Delete the MXOAgent.plist file
- Delete the MXODaemon.plist file
- Delete the MXOFPGAUpdater.app file
4. Shut down the MAC
5. Re-connect the MXO USB cable to the MAC. Verify that A/C power is connected to the MXO. Then power up the MAC. The blue LED on the MXO should turn ON.
6. Load the MAC system profiler. You should see a 'MXO by Matrox' device listed under the USB category. If it is there, then re-download latest Matrox driver for your OSX and install. _________________ Regards,

hi,
wether it's on 59,94 or 50 makes no difference.
followed your instructions and still the same problem.
furthermore, final cut pro isn't able to play a sequence when using mxo presets! the monitor just shows the frame at the position the cursor was on, when activating master mode and the canvas shows a flickering image.
this is pretty bad! and looking at the forum, i am not the only one with this problem:
http://forum.matrox.com/mxo/viewtopic.php?t=7094
any further suggestions?
greetings

Thank you for that link. Unfortunately we never heard back from the other user.
What is your model graphic card on your MAC system? Did the MXO ever work properly on this sytem? _________________ Regards,

that's the first time i tried to install it on the new one.
i am using an original apple-minidisplay to dvi adapter. |

Thank you Andreas,
I'd like to run a test here. Can you give me the MAC Model Identifier number? It can be found in the Mac system profiler under the main hardware category. It should be a number like 4, 1 etc.
Thank you. _________________ Regards,

For FCP output, please check the following:
What is the format / frame rate of the footage?
What is the FCP sequence setting?
Is 'all frames' selected in FCP->View->External video
Does it work if you disable 'mirror on desktop'?
Also, does the MXO work fine as a dual display using Presentation Mode? _________________ Regards,
