Can anyone Help?

We are running MC6 on a HP Z400 4 core with 8gb Ram with Matrox Mini MX02.

The Matrox worked very well with MC 5.5.3.

MC 6 Immediately crashes when trying to play the timeline with the following error: SFPConsumer:: Execute Timeout. We have disconnected the Matrox Mini to carry on with the project and it all runs alot quicker and no Error.

Hi,

What MXO2 Mini driver version are you running?
Is this a fresh install of Avid MC6 or an upgrade from Avid MC5.5? Trial or fully-licensed version?
What graphic card and driver version are you running?
Here is a list of Matrox tested systems which are Avid certified: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/windows/mxo2/system/tested_sys/
Make sure you are following the same slot configuration and driver versions for the hardware installed:
http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/windows/mxo2/tested_sys/HP_Z400_7GB_2.66GHz_Quad_Core.pdf

When installing the MXO2 drivers, please follow the steps below:
- uninstall the current MXO2 drivers
- download and right-click the Mtx.utils exe file and select Properties. Under the General tab, click unblock (at the bottom) if it is seen.
- Make sure the UAC option is turned off (set to Never Notify in Windows 7 settings) before running the MXO2 setup * may need to reboot
To disable UAC option or set it to Never Notify in Windows 7, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975787
- Run Mtx.utils setup and then make sure a full reboot and power cycle is performed (after install is complete, shutdown PC, disconnect MXO2 Mini power for several seconds, reconnect power of MXO2 and then power up the PC)
- re-enable UAC option if needed

Verify Device Manager for any unknown devices or errors.

the Avid is updated from 5.5 to 6 and now to 6.03. The Matrox driver is 6.01 driver - all work fine, except this avchd ama linking. thatswhy i think the driver is installed correctly.
I read a litle bit in the Avid forum - also the blackmagic had has simelar problems - i just want to know if the avchd linking is working in your workstations without trobble.

My system is a i7 920
Asus P6T motherboard
nvidia quaddro 3700 with the avid compatible driver version 2..
24 GB ram
mxo2 mini

To confirm, you are running MXO2 6.1.0.100 software?
Please note the ASUS P6T motherboard is not a certified Matrox-tested system: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/windows/mxo2/system/tested_sys/6.1/

Have you tried a fresh install of Avid MC6 and not the upgrade version?
When updating to Avid MC6.0.3, did you uninstall the Matrox software before running Avid update?

If you mention that also Blackmagic has similar problems, then it is quite possible an issue with Avid and 3rd-party I/Os.

We have tried importing via AMA using AVCHD plugin 1.1 with no problems so far. What is your project and clip resolution and frame rate?
