Setup - 2010 MacPro duo-quad core, Nvidia 8800 GeForce GT (512 VRam), 16 gig ram, original MXO, ACD and G-Raid
After upgrading to OSX 10.6.7, the MXO audio quit working. Tried reinstalling 2.1.9 with no luck. I discovered that I had another Firewire Audio driver on the box that needed upgrading (new Firewire driver works perfectly). After upgrading that driver, some strange behavior...
1. MXO audio is no longer visible in the SystemPrefs-sound (also - is there a reason the MXO prefs did not get converted to 64-bit?)
2. When choosing MXO video as the secondary output, it automatically includes MXO audio - AND IT WORKS! - even though it can't be seen in the prefs.
3. When the computer boots, the resolution on the both screens are wrong. If I turn on mirroring and then turn it off, disconnect the DVI cable from the main monitor (not connected to MXO) and then reconnect, both monitors come back the the proper resolution.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry for missing your post.
Please try the following:
1. Disconnect the MXO USB cable from the MAC
2. Run the MXO Uninstaller application located in: Applications -> Matrox MXO Utilities
3. Run the following MXO Manual Uninstall Procedure:
- In Finder, go to: /System/Library/Extensions
- Delete the MXOAudioDriver.kext file
- In Finder, press Shift+Cmd+G (Go -> Go to Folder) and type: /usr/libexec
- Delete the MxoDeviceController.app
- In the Finder folder dialog, type: /tmp
- Delete the MXOAgent.plist file
- Delete the MXODaemon.plist file
- Delete the MXOFPGAUpdater.app file
4. Shut down the MAC
5. Re-connect the MXO USB cable to the MAC. Verify that A/C power is connected to the MXO. Then power up the MAC. The blue LED on the MXO should turn ON.
6. Run a MAC Software Update and apply any Pro Applications updates.
7. Load the MAC system profiler. You should see a 'MXO by Matrox' device listed under the USB category. If it is there, then download latest Matrox driver for your OSX and install.
If you still have issues, please call us during support hours so we can remote into your system and try a different procedure. _________________ Regards,
Joe
