Hi Andreas,

What version of Matrox driver are you running?
You mention w7, therefore, are you running a Windows operating system? If so, can you confirm the exact Windows 7 version? 64-bit? Professional?

Please try the following steps:
- uninstall the current MXO2 drivers
- update all Adobe CS5 apps (Premiere should be 5.0.3)
- download and right-click the Mtx.utils exe file and select Properties. Under the General tab, click unblock (at the bottom) if it is seen.
- Make sure the UAC option is turned off (set to Never Notify in Windows 7 settings) before running the MXO2 setup * may need to reboot
To disable UAC option or set it to Never Notify in Windows 7, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975787
- Run Mtx.utils setup and then make sure a full reboot and power cycle is performed (after install is complete, shutdown PC, disconnect MXO2 Mini power for several seconds, reconnect power of MXO2 Mini and then power up the PC)
- re-enable UAC option if needed
Let us know if this helps.

Hi Andreas,

Can you confirm your system specs? Motherboard, graphic card etc..?
Did the MXO2 Mini ever work previously?
What other hardware is connected to the PC?
Have you tried installing the latest Mtx.utils 5.1.1 drivers and see if this works?

Is the A/C power, PCIe card and PCIe host cable properly connected? No defective pins on both ends? Have you tried switching PCIe slots? Make sure the card is seated properly into the slot.

There are different variables that can cause hardware detection problems. Most are resolved by trying a different PCI slot and re-connecting/power cycling the MXO2.
If you are still encountering problems, please try the following steps:
- Power off both PC and MXO2 Mini.
- Remove PCIe card from the PC. Disconnect all cables to the MXO2 and remove host cable on both PC and MXO2.
- Re-insert/re-seat PCIe card in the PC. You can try a different PCIe slot if possible.

- Inspect host cable connectors for broken pins. If no defect is visible, re-connect it in the proper orientation but swap the ends. In other words, the connector that was currently connected to the PC should now go connected to the MXO2, and vice versa for the other connector.
- When inserting the host cable on both the PCIe card and MXO2, first pull back the retention screw arms back. This is to ensure that the screws do not inhibit the connector from being inserted fully.
- Once inserted, tighten the retention screws.

- Re-connect A/C power to the MXO2 Mini (maybe try a different wall socket/power bar/outlet).
- Power on the PC, verify if the Blue is ON.

Please let us know your results.
