Hello,

I'm considering the MXO mini but I really need an advice before I buy something that I don't know if it does what I need.

For what it seems, the MXO bypasses? the main video card for faster work with FCP.

I have a MBP with expansion slot but I had the intention to work with my 2core iMac instead, but I'm guessing that's no way to connect the MXO mini box to my iMac, nor even from the iMac mini display connection. Is this right?

Are there any options to work with my iMac with the MXO mini?
If the only way would be to work with my MBP (which is a weaker 2core 2.4Ghz than my iMac 3.06Ghz), am I going to notice any improvement over my iMac?

Can I color grade a realtime ProRes timeline on my plasma screen? And can I trust the colors in it?

Thanks in advance for all the tips you may find helpful to me.

Correct.

No. You can use an original MXO with your iMac but not an MXO2.

The Mac Mini is not an accelerator, it is an I/O device, so there will be no dramatic change in performance simply by adding one to your system.

Yes and yes.

100 views by the wrong person would have the same effect I'm afarid ... its just a view count, it even counts your own views of your question it doesn't mean its actually been seen by folks who may have the answers you need.
