Hi everyone,
If there's a warning about wrong firmware version in Apple>System Preferences>Matrox MXO2>under the Info tab after installing an MXO2, press the Firmware update button. This should update the firmware of the MXO2. If this gives you a warning that firmware is already up to date, follow this procedure:
-Uninstall your MXO2 drivers by going to Finder>Applications>Matrox MXO2 Utilities>run the Software Uninstaller here and restart your system when this completes
-With the MXO2 connected to your Mac and AC power plugged in, install an older version of MXO2 drivers and then restart your system. For example, if you got the wrong firmware warning after installing the 1.6 drivers, install the 1.5 drivers.
-Now uninstall these drivers by again going to Finder>Applications>Matrox MXO2 Utilities>run the Software Uninstaller here and restart your system when this completes
-With the MXO2 NOT connected to your Mac, install the latest version of the MXO2 drivers and restart when the install completes.
-After the restart connect the MXO2.
-Now go to Apple>System Preferences>Matrox MXO2>Info tab. You will again have the warning about wrong firmware version, but this time when you press the Update Firmware button it should work.
Please contact Matrox Tech Support if this does not resolve the issue.
