The Matrox MAX codec can be used by applications that expose system codecs, however, only the applications, Compressor, QT, Telestream, have been tested to ensure faster than realtime encodes.

All other applications may or may not have the same performance. However, the Matrox MAX codec should deliver faster than you are currently experiencing with your encoding software of choice.
