|
|
Hi there
I've been poring over the Datasheets for the MXO2 and would like to clarify one point on the formats that MXO2 supports when ingesting ProRes (HQ) in real time.
The MXO2 Revealed document states tha, providing you have a fast enough CPU:
"You can capture HD ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 HQ 720P or 1080i in real time"
Does this mean that capturing 1080p in ProRes 422 or ProRes 422 HQ is not supported in real time? Specifically at 24, 25 or 30?
Just to give some context my office shoots with a Sony EX1, usually in 1080p25 HQ.
Thanks

Does no one have any experience of this at all? No-ones tried 1080p real time captures in ProRes using MXO2?

Hi Motoko
At present (driver version 1.5.1) the capture of 1080p is limited solely to 1080PsF at 23.98fps ... this support was introduced with driver version 1.3.1.
So if you shoot 24p you'll be fine with the MXO2m but for 25p you're out of luck sadly.
Hope the info is useful ... and lets all hope that newer MXO2 drivers bring better support for 1080p formats
Cheers
