Will existing MXO2 users be able to add the Matrox Max technology to our existing boxes?

No. Existing MXO2 users can add Matrox's new CompressHD card to their MacPro's but if you want/need the MXO2 w/ integrated Matrox MAX technology then you'll need to purchase the specific new box.
