Is it possible to make Matrox MXO2 Mini video preview available to Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects in CS6 and CC 2015 on the same PC?

I've installed Matrox Mtx.utils v: 8.0.0.15342 and video preview is available to the CS6 versions of those applications. It isn't available to the CC 2015 versions.

Thanks

Greg

Hi Greg,

We usually recommend single version of Premiere to be used with Matrox drivers, otherwise it may cause conflict.

Was Premiere CC2015 installed before Matrox drivers were installed?

To confirm, are you missing the Sequence presets when starting a new project sequence?
Do you see the Matrox Player in Adobe Preferences, and Matrox Effects?

What is your exact Adobe CC 2015 version?

Is Adobe CC 2015 installed in the default C:\Program Files path?

When having multiple versions of Premiere, users can run the Adobe cleaner tool to remove previous versions of Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Is Matrox hardware detected in Matrox X-info? Right click green M icon on task bar (bottom right hand corner) and open to Hardware pane.

When installing Matrox software, did you follow these steps?
- uninstall the current MXO2 drivers
- download and right-click the Mtx.utils exe file and select Properties. Under the General tab, click unblock (at the bottom) if it is seen.
- Make sure the UAC option is turned off (set to Never Notify in Windows 7 settings) before running the MXO2 setup * may need to reboot
To disable UAC option or set it to Never Notify in Windows 7, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975787
- Run Mtx.utils setup and then make sure a full reboot and power cycle is performed (after install is complete, shutdown PC, disconnect MXO2 power for several seconds, reconnect power of MXO2 and then power up the PC)
- re-enable UAC option if needed

Hi Sam

I'm using Adobe CC 2015 and CS6. I removed the previous build of the Matrox Utilites before installing the version that supports CC 2015. (I followed the steps that you outlined below)

After the installation I noticed that the WYSIWYG preview works on CS6 - Premiere Pro, After Effects & Photoshop. On CC 2015 - the WYSIWYG preview only works on Photoshop, but not Premiere Pro or After Effects.

Is it possible to manually install for Premiere Pro and After Effects CC2015? I can always remove the files if it causes buggy performance.

Also if the two can't coexist, is it possible to install the WYSIWYG preview only on the CC 2015 versions, and not the CS6 versions without completely uninstalling CS6?

Thanks

Greg
