|
|
Hi,
I need to upgrade my Mac and so will have to move on from the express port connection. There seem to be two options - either buying the thunderbolt adapter or a new mxo2 mini with built in thunderbolt. The latter option is a lot more expensive so the question is, apart from the convenience of having only a single unit, are there any other advantages of the dedicated unit, like speed etc? Or, will buying the adapter give the same functionality at the same specifications? |

Hi.
There is no MXO2 device with build-in Thunderbolt support. The solution for you is to purchase a Matrox Thunderbolt adapter. This will work fine with any MAC system with Thunderbolt support.
Note that our latest MAC driver is 4.6.0. Please review the list of supported applications: http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/mac/mxo2/doc/en_Matrox_MXO2_Supported_OS_and_Applications_4_6.pdf
If your desired application is not in this list, please let me know so I could make recommendations. _________________ Regards,

Thanks. I was wrongly informed it seems. I will buy the adapter. I use Premier. I have CC but prefer CS6 and though not now supported (which is very disappointing) it seems to work nevertheless. |

You're welcome. Your observation regarding CS6 is consistent with other user feedback. _________________ Regards,
