I have a new MXO2MiniMAX but the matrox MAX presets do not show in my media encoder preset list. They do appear in apple compressor.
Can you tell me how to get them, or where I can download them from?
Thanks |

Can you confirm the OS X and MXO2 software version?
What are the Premiere and Media Encoder versions?
Did you make sure to install MXO2 mini with MAX software after installing/updating your Adobe software? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?
Did you previously have other versions of Adobe on the system?
In AME, under Quicktime format, are you not getting Matrox MAX preset?
Please let us know your results. _________________ Regards,

Hi Sam,
I'm running OS X 10.10.2 with Matrox Max Utilities 4.5.0.0015.
Premier v8.2.0 (65) 2014.2 Release
Media Encoder v8.2.0.54 2014.2 Release
My adobe software was already installed. I had previously installed the compressHD drivers (as I was hopeful it would have worked in my thunderbolt chassis) but as it didn't i bought the Mini with thunderbolt adapter.
I un-installed the compressHD drivers before installing the MXO2 drivers. I have tried un-installing and re-installing them.
This was a clean install, and there was no other Adobe software on the system before this version.
If I create my own preset in AME I can select the Matrox MAX option for codec under quicktime. I was hoping there would be a preset group created by the installed for the Matrox settings (like those that appear in compressor) |

What are your system specs? Model identfier of the Mac?
Did you install Adobe on default path?
Can you try uninstalling the Matrox software and follow the manual uninstall procedure below?
*** Manual Verification of Uninstall for MXO2 on MAC ***
After the Matrox MXO2 driver has been uninstalled using the Matrox MAX Uninstaller application, it's possible that some files are not removed. This can cause problems. Ex: When installing the Matrox MXO2 driver, you get an error message saying that the driver can't be installed because a MXO2 driver already exists. The solution is to check for any traces of Matrox files not removed from your system and remove them manually. Below is a procedure to remove all traces of the MXO2 driver off your system. This procedure applies to Matrox Mojito MAX as well.
1. In MAC_HD_Name/System/Library/Extensions, delete all files that begin with: com.matrox
2. Delete all files that begin with com.matrox in the following 3 folders found under: MAC_HD_Name/library:
/PreferencePanes
/LaunchAgents
/QuickTime
3. Delete the following 2 files found under: MAC_HD_Name/library:
/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/Matrox Enabler.txt
/Receipts/Matrox*.vpg
4. In Finder, click the GO menu then press and hold the ALT/Option key on your keyboard. You should now see the Library folder appear in the list of paths of the menu. Click on Library and release the ALT/Option key. You will automatically be taken to the hidden Library folder: MAC_OS_HD/Users/username/Library
Next, delete these files & folders:
/Preferences/com.matrox.vpg.Matrox MXO2.plist (file)
/Applications Support/Compressor/Matrox MAX H.264 Settings (folder)
/Applications Support/Compressor/Settings/Matrox MAX H.264 Settings (folder)
5. In Finder, click on the Go menu, then click on Go to Folder (Shift+Cmd+G).
Type: /usr/libexec and delete any files that begin with com.matrox
Type: /tmp and delete the file named: Firmware Updater.app
6. Open Mac->Applications and delete the Matrox MAX Utilities folder
7. Launch the MAC System Preferences and delete the Matrox Utilities green icon
8. Launch the MAC Network Preferences and remove any Matrox network items
9. Empty the MAC Trash
10. Reboot MAC and Repair MAC Disk Permissions. Then redownload and re-install your MXO2 Mini with MAX driver.
Note: If any files cannot be removed because the process might is in use then go through the procedure once again in Safe Mode.

Hi Sam,
Its a macbook pro 15" Retina Mid 2012 2.7Ghz i7
16Gb ram
Nvidia GT650M 1Gb GFX
Adobe isn't installed in the default path. it is in a folder Adobe CC2014. I have moved all the adobe apps into the application root and removed/re-installed the drivers and now all the presets have appeared! |

That is great news. Glad to hear you are now getting the MAX presets in AME. Yes, please install Adobe apps on default path. We will lock this post. _________________ Regards,
