Sorry to ask a question about an EOL product but I need to fire up an old system, to rework a historical project.
I used this Mac Pro with a MXO under Snow Leopard for years but then upgraded to a new Mac. This legacy gear was then used for other things and upgraded with Mavericks (I know that is unsupported by the MXO driver).
When I reconnected this Mac + MXO tonight, everything seems to be working just fine under Mavericks, with the exception of one thing. I connected the component out BNC terminals from the MXO box to a separate CRT HDTV (as I always used to do) but I am now only seeing a red channel image on the screen (the DVI displays, one from the GPU and one from the MXO, are fine, it is just happening on this presentation display I use in my studio).
I'm not asking for Mavericks support here and I can downgrade this system to Lion but that's a lot of work. I just want to get a sense of whether this an understood behavior before I tear things apart.
I checked all the cables, connections, tried a second component input on the TV, tried a different source, so I know it's not the TV or me doing something stupid like mixing up the BNC connections. |
