|
|
Using Media Composer 7.0.4, I've all of a sudden started getting playback errors where everything freezes up in the app. I can't select any other clips, and I can't play anything back. I can restart the computer and the media will play momentarily before freezing up again.
The only difference between this project and previous ones is that I'm on a Firewire hard drive. But I don't see how that should make a difference.
Here are screenshots of the errors:
In case you can't see the 2nd pic, it's of the Source monitor with and error that reads "SFPlayConsumer::Execute TIMEOUT
MXO2 Mini.

Have you tried not using the Firewire hard drive?
What are your system specs?
What is the System Sound set to for Input and Output? Please try setting it to a non-Matrox audio device.
Does this happen without Matrox software?
Does this happen with other footage or projects?
Have you tried contacting Avid for these errors? _________________ Regards,

Switched to the USB port instead of Firewire and that seems to have solved the problem.
System Sound Output is set to Internal Speakers. Input is set to Internal Microphone.
Only happens with Matrox Software. |

Have you tried clearing Avid Preferences using Preference Manager? http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
You can try running Repair Disk Permissions on your boot drive. This has helped some users who experienced anomalies with their MAC systems. A permissions repair can be performed using Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app) by selecting a Mac OS X startup volume and clicking the Repair Disk Permissions button in the First Aid section. Might try that later. Can't stop down to troubleshoot right now as it's working fine over USB. |
