I have perfect playback with all my 23.98fps clips but, when trying to play 29.97fps nothing. My external monitor even says there is no signal. I have updated to the newest driver software and checked preferences numerous times in Premiere and Matrox.

The (29.97) clips all play fine in Premiere on my computer monitors. But, neither the source H.264 clips direct from camera or the ProRes 422. will play on the external monitor. Nothing.

However, clips direct from Nikon D800 (23.98fps) fine, clips direct from Sony RX10 (also 23.98) work fine .

Never had this problem with CS6 and earlier Matrox drivers.

No idea what is going on.

Hello ponsmaar,

Can you please try with either HDMI or component cables to your monitor?

Did it work with the same monitor in a previous driver release?
Maybe the output settings was PSF instead.

I'm sure its something small.

Please keep us updated.

Regards

Vic

Hi Vic,

Thanks for the reply. I do remember using the PSF setting in the past but, the only settings available now are either "p" or "i". And, yes, I am using the same computer, monitors, and external monitor. I have upgraded Premiere to CC, upgraded my GPU and updated to the most recent Matrox driver.

This morning I booted everything up and set the Matrox prefs to 29.97i in the WYSIWYG and FCP panels, opened my project and now it works.

not sure why, I had tried these settings yesterday. But, it now works.

Pons

That's great news Pons.

Maybe a new project did it.

Regardless, enjoy and thank you for replying.

Regards
