With the CC updates and mercury transmit will fast start finally be available so we can render and upload to vimeo without having vimeo have to re-render my file?

It is such a bummer that vimeo needs to convert my file everytime and being to upload native would be awesome... but is there an issue with the file extension too? like ive have noticed everything that works native with vimeo is a .mp4 and every time vimeo transcodes its to a mp4 format... I only can render .mov with matrox... Is this part of the problem too?

Thanks

It's not a Matrox issue. Vimeo will always re-encode what is sent to them.

Thanks Andrew.

For users who need a .mp4 wrapper, here is a procedure to re-wrap a Matrox H.264 from .mov to .mp4 on MAC.

-Start Quicktime 7 (see installation notes below)
-Load the Matrox .mov H.264 file you encoded using MAX
-File -> Export
-For the 'Export' field, select 'Movie to MPEG-4' from the drop-down menu.
-Click the 'Options' command button
-For file format, select 'MP4'
-Click the 'Video' tab. For Video Format, select 'pass-through'
-Click the 'Audio' tab. For Audio Format, select 'pass-through'
-Click OK
-Name your file and select a destination folder
-Click Save

Your .mov H.264 file has now been re-wrapped to .mp4
