hi,
In the system req. for the mojito 4k there is a line : storage external.
How many and which diskstypes are being used?
What are the minimum requirements for storage /playback for the mojito 4k.
For 4K 60fps
does the upgrade of the GTX680 to a GTX 770 /780, alter the requirements of the CPU's ?

These things will affect how your host computer and software (such as Premiere Pro) will behave, more than the Matrox gear which only displays the output of a true video signal. (Give or take 'Max' encoding.)
I don't do 4k work myself, but I should think that some sort of external RAID storage device would be a given.

Thanks andrew, but I already know this. The piont is that 4K Video requires more throughput fron the system. Matrox/adobe need 2, 8core Xeon CPU's on a C600 intel chipset, to playback 4K @ 59.95 FPS.!!
So my question with regards to storage (in- or external) is not that far fetched.

Again, thanks for stating the obvious. But I wanted to know, exactly which storage configuration did matrox use in the system requirements. As the system Req. don't state this. I am hoping just a bunch of 7200RPM HDD's, but I'm afraid that SAS disk are nessesary.

Hi Richard,
I really didn't want to be going in to calculating sustained transfer speed requirements for 4k files as, again, I have no reference point.
Might be best to wait for one of the regular support staff to answer your questions during Canadian business hours.
