My MX02 suddenly lost it's HDMI output...

Is there any way to force a firmware download to the unit in the off chance that's it?

The chip right next to HDMI output is slightly warmer than I'd expect...

I suspect it that chip, but in the off chance I could re-download the firmware to the unit, I'd like to try....

Thank You....

Jan

Hello Matrox....

On the MX02 Printed Circuit Board, there is a Surface Mount chip that drives the HDMI output.....
Mine has DIED.... It's warmer than it should be.....

I'd like to buy one from you if possible... I have access to a surface mount repair system.... for the repair...

If you don't have one to sell, could you kindly tell me What model number & speed if needed, the chip is, so that I can contact the manufacturer for one...

Thank You...

The chip for A19, the HDMI output driver on an MX02 system is:
AD9889BBCPZ-165

Now just looking for a Pro that can do Pre-Heat and Hot Air PCB work.... to replace this chip....

Does Matrox want to give any cautions on this..????
Is the pad underneath chiip soldered to PCB, or not?, Etc ???

Had this been plated through holes, I'd have had it done by now.... But though I did component level Repair at the Network I worked at, I never got into Surface mount PCB repair work.....

That's why I'm looking for a Pro wit Pre-Heat and Hot Air PCP work!!!
