Hello,
Just recently my avid 8.4 on 10.10.2 with matrox 4.6 driver has been crashing on startup of the avid. I am getting an error that says
"segmentation fault" in thread "main thread" at address 0x0
I have uninstalled and reinstalled mainly things to try and fix it. I get avid and everything working again when I re-install everything but matrox 4.6. I have tried it with the BOB hooked up and not hooked up. Same issue. As soon as i put the driver in I get this error. I am also running Premiere CC 2015 on this same computer with no issues. I had in the past run them very well on the same computer.
Thanks for your help,
Jason

There are many threads on Avid forum regarding this same error even without Matrox hardware. Have you tried contacting Avid?
See this link for possible solutions: http://community.avid.com/forums/p/64626/733812.aspx
Has this issue always happened? Or has this recently started occurring?
Have their been any changes to the system? _________________ Regards,

May of been overkill but I reinstalled a new system and reinstalled avid and everything else. Seems to be working now.
