Hi Danmark,

The 4.5 release drivers do only support Yosemite OS X as mentioned, however, you can run 4.2.0.0006 drivers with Avid MC 8.3. You should not have any problem.

Please let us know your results.

Did the Matrox 4.2 install successfully on your MAC system?

Do you see the Matrox detected in System Preferences Matrox Utilities?

What is the issue you are seeing exactly when using Avid 8.3?

Do you have another HDMI monitor or cable to verify output?

What is the project/frame rate you are using from Avid?

Hi,
I've been having similar problems. I started another thread, where I asked if the upgrade to Yosemite was required to run my MXO2 LE with MC 8.3.

It wasn't working in Mavericks (10.9.5) so I installed Yosemite, but it's behainvg exactly the same way.

The Utilities installed properly. The Matrox card is recognized in the System Preferences and in MC when I go under "Tools/Hardware", it opens the Matrox Utilities, but in "Special/Device" there is only "IEEE 1394" and in the Settings window, wether in the Video Display or Video Output there is nothing concerning the MXO2.

Anyone have a clue? Did the original poster of this thread find a solution? Please share.

Thank you,
Damien
