I am looking for best possible professional monitoring options for the MXO2LE. Here's what I have so far:

If the budget was not an issue, which monitor would you recommend? I would also appreciate recommendations not on the wish-list above.

What do you (Matrox folks) use in your lab/studio?

Thanks much!

Hello Eb and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. Thank you Andy for your help here. These are all great monitors. Just to add the most important issue is to meet our system recommendation for monitors listed here: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/mac/mxo2/system/monitors/

regards,

Good call JD.

EB, please note that all the monitors I noted above are high-end of professional broadcast reference monitoring solutions (you said money was no object) ... am assuming if you go with one of these you'd not likely be connecting it to your MXO2's HDMI out (with Matrox calibration), but rather via the MXO2's HD-SDI out (with a professional calibration done on the monitor itself).

If you are indeed looking for a monitor to connect via HDMI then you should definitely want to check for compatibility as per the recommendations posted in JD's link.

Cheers
Andy
