|
|
Hi,
I'm using the MXO with 2.1.8 version in Snow Leopard so I can use the Proc Amps, because it's a better and professional way to calibrate a display and it has a blue mode to check artifacts and noise in the footage (i really don't know why Matrox drop it in further versions).
I'll like to use my MXO in CS6 (after effects) and unfortunately the latest version of the driver (2.2.0) has the calibration mode changed. It's there a way to have both? Latest driver with CS6 support AND the Proc Amps?
Thanks. |

There is a new Matrox DVI Calibration Utility implemented in the latest software version 2.2.0.0002, therefore no Proc Amps utility available. Also, please note 2.2.0 driver supports Adobe After Effects version 10.5 only, Adobe CS6 version of After Effects is v11.0.2.
For more detailed information on Calibrating Your Secondary Display within driver 2.2.0 please refer to User Guide Chapter 4, page 30-32.

What a shame that there's no way to get proc amps in new driver version, the new utility it's an eyeball calibration like the apple calibration system utility, the proc amps are much more professional, like the calibration bars we get on broadcast monitors. I know how the new DVI calibration utility works, it's just not as good for calibration as the proc amps (and there's no blue mode).
If I upgrade from 2.1.8 will the New DVI calibration Utility use the Proc Amps saved settings or do I have to calibrate again?
There's any plan to upgrade the software to get CS6 or even CC support?
Thanks. |

Nothing is documented in 2.2.0 release about loading Proc Amps saved settings from the previous driver version, looks like the calibration needs to be done again with a new calibration utility.
Tech support does not have information of when or if driver support for CS6 and CC will be released. However, you can always submit feature enhancements that you would like to see implemented with Matrox MXO in out Product Feature Enhancement section. _________________ Best regards,
