Hi there!!!
I've a Mac Pro still running on Snow Leopard and has Matrox MX02 ver 2.5.
If I upgrade my OS to Mountain Lion and install Matrox MX02 ver 4.0 and then upgrade the firmware, will the other Mac Pro on Snow Leopard still be able to use my Matrox box? |

When you install the MXO2 software while your MXO2 hardware is powered and connected to your Mac system, the software installation automatically verifies the firmware on your MXO2 hardware and updates it if required.

| So if I remove my MX02 that is connected to machine running on the ver 4.0 and connected it to a machine running on the ver 2.5, it simply asks for a firmware update that is compatible with my system? |

It will verify if the firmware on MXO2 is comparable with driver you are running on your system and run updater if necessary.
