Has anyone had problems with the new upgrades of OSX and FCPX when using a Matrox Mini with Max?
I am running Firmware Version 15.0
Software Version 3.3.0.0038
I am reluctant to upgrade as my system is work well.
Any assurance would be very helpful.
Thanks

We have not yet certified the MXO2 software with the latest Apple software updates. We will update our users once these Apple updates have been certified.
If you decide to upgrade, this would be at your own discretion. _________________ Regards,

Currently, OSX 10.8.3 has been certified for the MXO2 3.3 software. However, the FCPX 10.0.8 update has not yet been approved with our software. You can find this in the Description section of the Download wizard for your specific software: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/downloads/
Quote: | Installs the Matrox MXO2 v3.3 (build 67) software for Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2) and Lion (10.7.5). This software supports Adobe Premiere Pro 6.0.2, Apple Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7, and Avid Media Composer and Symphony 6.0.3 and 6.5.2.
Now also supports Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3, and Avid Media Composer and Symphony 6.0.3.4 and 6.5.2.1. |
Hope this information is helpful. _________________ Regards,

Well I'm running
OSX 10.8.3
FCPX 10.0.8
Matrox 3.3.0.0067
Firmware 15.
I couldn't get it to work, wrote a post, now this is the EDIT!!!
OK, so I was missing something easy. The A/V output check box in WINDOW menu.
This works far better than the original (FCP 7). Beautiful sync. I'm using an early 2011 17 Macbook Pro i7 quad with 8GB RAM. (MacBookPro8,3) and a Panasonic TH42PF20 plasma.
I'm impressed, thanks Matrox. |

Glad to hear all is working well now. Yes, we must select the A/V Output setting in FCPX. _________________ Regards,

Hi Mariano,
Are you trying to import files into FCP X or capture via MXO2? Please note capturing is not supported via MXO2 with FCP X.
In addition, did you uninstall Matrox software before updating to FCP X 10.0.8? Please note FCP X 10.0.8 version is not yet certified with MXO2 3.3 software release.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling MXO2 3.3 software? _________________ Regards,

Update: The MXO2 3.3 drivers have been certified with Apple Compressor 4.0.7 and FCP X 10.0.8. _________________ Regards,

Has there been a change to the 3.3.0.0067 drivers since they have been certified with Compressor 4.0.7?
I ask because when I last tested FCPX 10.0.8, Compressor 4.0.7 and Matrox 3.3.0.0067 on my secondary edit system (clean install) I got an error, something like "nse 3x exception" when trying to use the Matrox MAX h.264 for Blu-ray settings (which I always use).
I assume that if any changes were made the drivers, that it would be a new version number software.
Thanks |

Correct, there have been no changes to the 3.3.0.0067 release. They only have been tested and certified with the new Apple software updates for FCP X and Compressor. Please post any new issues in new thread. _________________ Regards,
