On your express34 card: add an eSATA port since express34 bandwidth is higher than firewire800 and could support bandwidth for both MXO2 and an eSATA raid. This would allow more layers of compositing work with an eSATA raid able to stream more than twice as many video layers as an under 80MB/s firewire800 raid. Also, some raid manufacturer's have the hardware raid controllers in the raid unit and not on the express34 card, so an MXO2 express34 card with an eSATA port would just pass data to the raid. In addition, a number of eSATA raids offer raid5 options where firewire800 raids are always 0,1 or JBOD.

Having 2 or 3 - 8 channel ADAT inputs would be great and allow a bunch of us who do lots of audio to use the MXO2 as an audio interface also. I use Logic and Final Cut, and as long as your MXO2 drivers are Apple's Core Audio compliant - the MXO2's audio would be 100% compliant and work with any Apple app and any Apple compatible Audio Units-type audio software.

Hello domenic

Thank you for your MXO2 follow-up.

Presently, there are no plans to change the MXO2 hardware, based on your suggestions.
We are about to release the MXO2 on the market, therefore hardware modifications cannot be considered at this time.

In the meantime, we are moving this post to the "Product Feature Enhancements" section for future reference.

Kind regards,
