Hello,

Within Avid Media Composer 6, when I go 'Export -- Quicktime Movie -- Custom -- Format Options -- Video Settings -- Compression Type' there is no Maxtrox codecs here to render out to. I've uninstalled and installed the Matrox software over to see if something didn't install correctly... That's not the case... everything seems fine.

Can someone instruct me on how to solve this issue?

Thank you,
-R

Hi R,

Can you confirm your MXO2 driver version and system specs? OS version?
We do not support exporting directly from Avid Media Composer 6 to Matrox MAX codec. You will need to export to a QuickTime Reference file in Avid MC6, then import the QT Ref file into Adobe Media Encoder 5.5.1 for Matrox MAX encoding.

For more information, see page 212 of the User Guide: http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/windows/mxo2/doc/en_Matrox_MXO2_Installation_and_User_Guide_6_1.pdf

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I had no idea that I had to go into Adobe Media Encoder. This info really helps... Smile

I noticed that in ME that there is no a Matrox H264 QT codec for rendering... There's AVI, MP4 and Blu-ray. Are there any other presets (Quicktime h264) I can get?

Cheers,
-Richard

There is no Matrox QT H264 codec. In the Export Settings Format list, there should be a Matrox 264 (Blu-ray) and Matrox MP4 for use with MAX encoding.

See page 213 for more information:

Yes I found those other ones. I hope that a Quicktime version is something Matrox can look into creating in the future.

Thank you for your help.

Best Regards,
